Drawing Near
We have no shortage of spiritual teaching, materials, and opportunities. In fact, we can fill our calendar with religious activities. But often we still find ourselves feeling disconnected and disenchanted. Why is that? What are we missing? How do we move from spiritual busyness to really thriving?
Is that you God?
Wouldn’t you love to clearly hear God’s instruction to you specifically? How do we know when it’s God that’s speaking and not our own thoughts or hunches? He’s given us a couple key tools for hearing Him clearly. Let’s tune in!
Hurdles to Spiritual Growth
Do you feel like you try and try, but don’t grow spiritually? Let’s talk about the things that most commonly sabotage our spiritual wellbeing and what we can do about them. We don’t want anything to keep us from getting to know God as He intended.
THE TEACHINGS OF A PRODIGAL
Whether you’ve had the privilege (did I say privilege?) of raising a prodigal child or not, the lessons God taught me via mine will resonate with anyone. Let me share what God revealed about my own heart and human nature when dealing with difficulty.
Who am I?
As women, we often find out identity in the roles we fill – daughter, parent, employee or employer. But these aren’t actually who we are. What truths would God love for us to fully understand about ourselves? More importantly, how can His truths cut through our negative self talk.
An Anchor in a Whirlwind World
Most of us are acutely aware of how our world can change in a moment’s notice. And the anxiety levels experienced in our culture these days reflect our trepidations about the world around us. How can the immutability of God’s character impact how we relate to circumstances?
Psalm 46
“Be still and know that I AM God.” We see the phrase everywhere. But do we know what it really means? Let’s take a closer look at this well known, often quoted Psalm.
Mental Health and the Church
1 in 5 adults will struggle with mental illness in their lifetime. It is everywhere in our society, our churches and our homes. What is the church’s role? And how can we as Christians love each other well? Our communities and families will be strengthened as we learn how to enter this often lonely journey with those that cannot escape it.
Many of these topics can be tied together creating a series of talks or retreat themes. Contact me to talk about what you envision for your event!
